Sings the Music of Bacharach & Kaempfert : ウィキペディア英語版 | Sings the Music of Bacharach & Kaempfert
''Sings the Music of Bacharach & Kaempfert'' is the 34th original studio album released by singer Johnny Mathis in the United States. ==Overview== This is a two record set that featured the songs of two composers. The first record was devoted to the work of Bert Kaempfert while the second featured that of Burt Bacharach. The release of this set marks the first instance where Mathis devoted a full album to the music of a single composer. The Kaempfert album was recorded in Europe in 1969 and was released as a single record album in the United Kingdom in that year. When the album was released in the United States in 1970, it was combined with a compilation of previously released album cuts of Bacharach songs from Mathis' work with Columbia Records. It is interesting to note that while Mathis recorded Bacharach songs during his four year stint with Mercury Records none of that material was included on this album although he owned the masters to all his recordings with the label and had licensed some of that material to Columbia Records in the previous year for two albums: ''People'' and ''The Impossible Dream''. The track listing below for the Bacharach compilation includes the album titles where each track first appeared.
